Pain and injury don’t always tell the full story. Two people can present with the same symptoms for completely different underlying reasons — and treating the symptom alone often means the same problem returns. That’s why DCM Clinics uses objective, force-based testing to see exactly what’s happening beneath the surface.
Using VALD ForceDecks and ForceFrame technology, we measure how your body actually produces, transfers, and tolerates force — capturing data on strength, power, control, and side-to-side asymmetries that can’t be judged by eye alone. This allows us to identify the specific physical factors limiting your performance or contributing to your injury, often before pain even appears.
This is the foundation of our Assess, Build, Re-test approach. We assess your baseline using force plate data, build a targeted programme around what the data actually shows, then re-test at key points to confirm real progress — not just how you feel, but measurable change in strength, control, and capacity.
Force plate testing is used across our patient caseload, from general injury rehab through to our Performance & Power Assessment for athletes chasing distance, speed, or strength. It’s also central to how we classify and address hip control deficits and other movement limitations that standard clinical assessment can miss.
DCM Clinics is led by Danny Mace M.Ost, a registered osteopath and former Head of Rehabilitation at the European School of Osteopathy, who lectures internationally on rehabilitation and performance. Danny is also a five-time British jet ski champion with a world top-ten ranking, bringing an athlete’s own understanding of physical performance to every assessment.
